Ja Rule’s LIFE Camp Inc.’s Community Outreach Breakfast
Your are invited to Ja Rule’s LIFE Camp Inc.’s Community Outreach Breakfast on Friday, April 28, 2006 from 8:00AM –10:00 AM at Occasions Catering Hall located at 127-08 Merrick Blvd in Springfield Gardens. We want to take this opportunity to break bread with community and business leaders while introducing you to the work of Ja Rule’s LIFE Camp Inc.
As the summer months approach, we will have an influx of idle youth. To combat this issue Ja Rule’s LIFE Camp’s work force readiness program has arrange for 200 youth to receive summer employment. However we don’t necessarily have 200 work sites. Through this outreach, we hope you would be willing to take on a free summer youth worker. Information on free summer help will be distributed at the breakfast.
Ja Rule’s LIFE Camp Inc founded by Ja Rule and, I, Erica Ford was created to take youth off the streets and provide something constructive. Our mission is to help at-risk youth achieve success, make intelligent life choices and pursue social relationships that promote pride in self, family and community. Targeting students between the ages of 14 and 19, we work tirelessly to empower and motivate youth to become responsible and productive students while avoiding the pitfalls that lead to incarceration. LIFE’s programs include academic tutoring, workforce readiness, leadership development, physical fitness and health maintenance, Real Talk Fridays, and Art and Music.
Through continuous support of community partners including, Assemblywoman Vivian E. Cook, Deputy Majority Leader Leroy Comrie, Council Member James Sanders, Grady’s, Occasions Catering Hall, Poor Freddie’s Tire Shop and Merrick Quick Lube we have been able to positively effect the lives of more than 1000 youth. With your help that number can continue to grow!
